Leave no Trace
From Burnwiki, a Burning Man Wiki & Brain Dump
The Leave no Trace ethic is exactly what is says. The playa should be as pristine as it was before 38,000 burners came out, built domes, bars, clubs, and trebuchets, partied, created 400 foot tall fireballs, and burned everything in sight. This sounds difficult, but can be done by following some very simple rules:
- Never let trash or anything else hit the ground. As soon as it hits the ground, it creates MOOP.
- Dispose of waste water in an evaporation pond.
- Avoid bringing anything that tends to fall apart, fly away, or create lots of little pieces. This includes feather boas, unnecessary paper, and pistachios.
- Pack out everything you brought in. Leave nothing behind.
- Before you leave, take a couple of hours to carefully walk around your camp and the surrounding area to pick trash and any other MOOP laying around.
