- Gifting is encouraged among all Burning Man participants. It's a way of connecting with others around you - and on a more philosophical level - breaking out of today's consumer culture.
- Most gifts are fairly small. Light sticks, lights, lip balm, stickers, mix cds, beads, and jewelery are common, as are beer and other substances.
- Gifts such as stickers and other small items suck. They typically turn into MOOP. If you're going to give a gift, make it real.

- Bike tubes (really appreciated by anyone in need)
- Frozen treats such as Otter pops
